After a cold rainfull may month, we had nice warm sunshine today. Both my husbond Sigurd and I have been working in the garden all day long. Because the weather was so nice I left all the doors open. Suddently A bird found its way in  to the house, and we tryed to help him out. I bleendet all the windows exept for one small one, and the bird hit the window and fall down. He was scared, crying, and I took a clooding around him carrying him outside. He must have died instantly, but we waited for over an ouer too make sure the bird was dead. The bird was an Pica Pica, in Norwegain Skjære. Both Sigurd and I was so sorry!

So when I open my computer and found that my journal was choosen Yournal of the Week, I have to admit I did feel better! Thanks  for the nomination....I was totally suprised and happy!

 

 

We have been doing the same here...loads of gardening with an abundance of sunshine. Thanks for the kind words when you visited my journal, always appreciated. ;)

Aww, so sorry to hear about the bird.. sounds like you did the best you could under the circumstances... still sad.

Yes, it's good to have the weekend almost here. We are having very warm summer like temps. We have to enjoy it while it's here as the warm months always seem too short.

Thanks for the comment on my Memorial Day post. I think the first book I ever read about Norway was back in school and about the Norwegian resistance - about one guy in partiuclar who knew how to ski very well and about his adventures - I believe there was a Norwegian POW in the book too. I will have to try to find that book again as I know more about Norway now.

You are right - it is still very early morning here - when 10 am there - I could not sleep and got up for about 20 minutes and checked my email - then I over slept - on a Friday too.
